After years of swirling rumors, singer August Alsina – via an interview with Angela Yee – has confirmed he had a love affair with Jada Pinkett Smith. As if that wasn’t enough to get tongues wagging, the 27-year-old singer says her Academy Award-nominated husband, Will Smith, allegedly gave the relationship his blessing.
In the interview (published June 30), Alsina said:
“I actually sat down with Will [Smith] and had a conversation due to the transformation from their marriage to life partnership … he gave me his blessing.”
Reportedly introduced to Pinkett, 48, in 2015 by her son Jaden, Alsina detailed how he and the actress became so close he fell in love with her.
“I totally gave myself to that relationship for years of my life, and I truly and really, really deeply love and have a ton of love for her. I devoted myself to it, I gave my full self to it — so much so to the point that I can die right now and be okay with knowing that I truly gave myself to somebody.”

During the emotional interview, the singer-songwriter broke down in tears while he detailed struggles with the loss of his sister, health failures, and raising his three nieces alone. But, the commentary on Jada will undoubtedly be the standout as he seemingly confirmed the longstanding rumor the two were romantically involved.
While reps for Pinkett say Alsina’s claims are “absolutely not true,” she has not directly spoken out about his allegations.

Now we all know that Augustine is sickly, but why would he do an interview and expose that if it wasn’t true? I believe him. I think Jada is only denying it because the agreement was that it stayed private (between will, Jada, and Augustine)
It has long been rumored that The Smiths have a different kind of marriage. So the relationship between August, and Jada does not seem far fetched.
