August Alsina is adding a fresh chapter to his headline-grabbing relationship with Jada Pinkett Smith. And this time it’s musical.
For, the R&B singer has just dropped a new song titled ‘Entanglements.’
Featuring Rick Ross, the track borrows its title from Pinkett Smith’s much meme’d term to describe their complicated union.
The song is an all-new effort and doesn’t feature on Alsina’s recently released album ‘The Product III: stateofEMERGEncy’ – which debuted at #48 on the Billboard 200.
Take a listen below…
On the one hand, in this DIY era, if your tea is spilled it’s only logical to monetize it (aka: pay me for my pain).
However, this just serves….corny and a touch opportunistic.
If asking us, August would have done himself a better service dropping the initial bombshell in song to begin with. Again, on some “pay me for my pain” ish.
Circling back to do it afterwards is late and it doesn’t help that the song itself is lacking.
