Wizkid whipped up a frenzy amongst his fans today when he trumpeted the imminent arrival of long awaited album ‘Made In Lagos.’
And it looks like there will be a number of special guests joining him!
Full story below…
Armed with the buzz of collaborations with the likes of Beyonce and Drake, Surelere’s finest is gearing up to release the project he’s been teasing for over two years.
Talking to his 10.8 million Instagram followers, the Afrobeats phenom billed the set the “best I ever made.”
He seized the moment to both reveal and thank the eclectic list of collaborators joining him on the LP. A list that includes fellow African titan Burna Boy, Ella Mai, Damian Marley, Skepta, and RCA label-mate H.E.R.
Many are thirsty for a musical reunion with Tiwa Savage (after the fire that was ‘Fever‘), as well as a team-up with Teni. Stay tuned to see if those come to fruition.
Producers on-board Starboy’s musical ship include P2J (‘Lion King: The Gift’), Kel P (‘African Giant’), frequent collaborator and close friend Mutay from Legendury Beatz (who helmed Nigeria’s “national anthem” ‘Ojuelegba’), Sarz (‘Come Closer,’ ‘Jaiye Jaiye’).

As for when fans can expect the set, Wiz alluded to a July 16th drop – which serves as his 30th birthday. An approach his ‘Brown Skin Girl’ collaborator Beyonce similarly took with ‘4.’

Here at That Grape Juice, we’re buzzed to see what’s incoming from the leading force of the Afrobeats movement.
It’s been almost a decade since his aptly titled debut ‘Superstar’ and he’s not only taken the genre by storm but he’s also helped create the perfect storm of excitement around the genre on a global scale.
And with the likes of Burna Boy nabbing GRAMMY nominations, Beyonce magnetising the masses to Afrobeats with ‘The Gift,’ and Wiz himself headlining London’s O2 Arena + nabbing endorsements with the likes of Ciroc and Nike), he has fertile ground to spring into higher heights with this campaign.
We…are…ready!
