Drake Rockets To #1 On Apple Music With ‘Laugh Now Cry Later,’ But Trails Behind Cardi B & Megan Thee Stallion’s ‘WAP’ On Spotify

Published: Sunday 16th Aug 2020 by Sam

Drake‘s dominance shows no signs of letting up.

This week saw the Hip-Hop titan unleash ‘Laugh Now Cry Later’ – the first track from new album ‘Certified Lover Boy.’

And the Lil Durk assisted track has blasted off to the fire-fuelled start.

Full story below…

Just hours after its arrival, the ‘Laugh’ catapulted to #1 on Apple Music US.

A consistent performer on that platform, Drizzy sits in a familiar position with the release.

Elsewhere, though, he’s being met by fierce competition from Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion‘s viral smash ‘WAP.’

Powered in earnest by its must-see video, the raunchy track has taken residence atop of the Spotify US and Global charts and appears to be unshakable.

With Drake drops usually leading to a top-tier success on the Billboard Hot 100, it’ll be interesting to see whether he secures the last ‘Laugh’ amidst a busy window on the coveted tally.
