Rihanna continues to expand her business empire.
The superstar singer recently graced the cover of Harper’s Bazar, where she talked about her inspiration for Fenty Beauty and what drove her to create Fenty Skin.

It turns out that the ‘Rude Boy’ singer’s mother is the one who inspired her to create her own beauty line. She told the publication:
“She knew everything about perfume, skin care, and makeup. She never let me wear makeup, but I was secretly fascinated. So when she’d leave home, I would play around with hers.”
In the issue, out today, the Grammy winner also shared her inspiration for creating Fenty Skin.
The Barbadian singer had this to say:
“I’ve always seen the Fenty brand as more than just makeup, and I knew I wanted to make skin care from the very beginning. It was just about getting it right. You have to live with the formulas for awhile and test them in different ways. It’s very different from makeup in that sense. It takes a long time.”
Upon its launch in 2017, Fenty Beauty was an instant success. It earned $100 million in just six weeks and would go on to make more than $550 million in its first year.
Rihanna hasn’t forgotten about her music, as she recently teased that it is coming sooner than her fans think.
