A judge has secured a major victory for Dr. Dre in his case with estranged wife Nicole Young.

According to TMZ, the judge denied Young’s request for $1.5 million to pay for her various expenses. Additionally, the judge denied her request to have Dre pay out $5 million for her lawyer fees.
The outlet goes on to report that Young has been receiving death threats and has claimed the $1.5 million was for security.
The judge rejected her request because she had already let her security team go that the Hip-Hop mogul was already paying for. She claims she let them go because he was controlling and she wanted to bring in her own security team.
However, Dre’s lawyer did tell the judge that he is inclined to pay for Young’s expenses, including her security, which the judge accepted.
The judge denied Young’s request because he claimed he had more crucial domestic violence and custody cases that needed his attention. He went on to note that if Dre was trying to control her, she should get a restraining order against him.
Earlier this month, she filed a $2 million monthly temporary spousal support request against the famed producer.
He has since responded to those claims, saying (quote via TMZ):
“This all seems like the wrath of an angry person being exacerbated by opportunistic lawyers.”
He went on to reveal he already paid Young $5 million for her lawyer fees.
