John Legend continues to break records.
Full story below:
A mere month after his only chart-topper, ‘All of Me,’ was certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA)(as we reported here), the track has reached a new milestone.
The song now ties ‘Despacito,’ by Justin Bieber, Daddy Yankee, and Luis Fonsi, as the highest certified track in RIAA history.
Both songs have reached an astounding 13x Platinum.
Legend responded to the news in a post to his Instagram account, saying:
“Beyond my wildest dreams. Thank you.”
‘All of Me’ served as the third single from Legend’s 2013 album, ‘Love in the Future.’ The track went on to top the Billboard Hot 100 and became the second best-selling song of 2014, where it sold over 4 million copies that year alone.
Needless to say, congratulations are in order.
