Their debut album isn’t Stankonia. It’s Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik and it came out in 1994. Stankonia is their 4th album

Stankonia was far from their debut album. Outkast were almost a decade in, three albums deep, and legends when Stankonia came out.

Their iconic or classic album, sure…but debut? Chilllllleeeee, I can’t with y’all today.

I was working at Abercrombie & Fitch during this era..I still have checks I haven’t cashed cause I certainly didn’t need the job lol…they asked me to work in there…they played Stankonia in the store, Gangsta Boo and all lmao 🤳🏽

    • MessyBoots October 9, 2020

      Lol.. I worked at A n F around 2002.

When the store closed it would go from techno to gangster rap as well. I also recall the white folks working the replaying a lot of Outkast, Eminem and John Mayer as well.

Exactly! 🤣 ✅ I know you worked up in there cause everything you said was FACTS lol 💯 Thanks for sharing!

Yes. It was a MOMENT dahling! *MC voice*

Abercrombie used to shut ishhh down back then. They became highly problematic and racist soon after… BUT.. they had a moment in the sun back then.

Excuse me, but Stankonia is NOT their debut! They’ve been around since TLC was singing Creep.
