It’s time to welcome a new Jackson into the music business.
For, it’s been announced that Paris Jackson has signed with Republic Records!
In tandem with the news, the model/activist wasted no time releasing her first official solo single ‘Let Down’ from her debut album ‘Wilted’ – which is set for release a lot sooner than you may think!
Written by none other than Paris herself, ‘Let Down’ lends itself to the alternative-folk genre with singer-songwriter influences. In the song, the creative tells a story of heartbreak over dreamy synths and soundscapes.
“eyes painted black, tragic paperback, you were my all, and now, I fall to the ground.”
Speaking on the release of the track, Paris – whose father is the King of Pop Michael Jackson – shares:
“I feel so many emotions. I’m excited, I’m nervous, mostly grateful and happy…The freedom to create, not being told what to sing and how to sing it, what to write; it’s awesome. It’s a gift, it’s a blessing.”
‘Wilted,’ Jackson’s debut LP arrives November 30. The album follows her five-track EP with bandmate Gabriel Glenn, titled ‘The Soundflowers’ which she released earlier in June of this year.
Exciting news! Though Paris has remained relatively quiet on the music-front, we’re eager to hear what she will bring to the table with ‘Wilted.’.
