It’s a good time to be Kylie Minogue.
Thanks to her latest album, ‘Disco,’ the Pop icon was penciled in U.K. history books this week for being the only artist to have #1 albums in 5 separate decades (click here to read more).
Her wins didn’t end on that side of the pond, however.
Look inside to see just how she made a splash on the Billboard 200:
Kylie Minogue’s ‘Disco’
First Week Sales (SPS): 20,000 units
Billboard 200 Debut: #26
Ariana Grande‘s ‘Positions’ album may reign over the week’s Billboard 200 thanks to its sales equivalence of 82,000 (as we reported here), but – with only 8,000 pure sales – that overall sum was comprised of 89% streams.
Minogue’s ‘Disco,’ on the other hand, managed double Grande’s pure sales in the same tracking period – making it the best-selling female LP of the week (second overall to the 18,760 sold by South Korean boy band TXT‘s ‘Blue Hour’ EP).
With its inaugural Billboard 200 placement, ‘Disco’ not only comes as the week’s top female debut but also marks Minogue’s first top 30 album in the U.S. since 2010’s ‘Aphrodite’ peaked at #19.
