Drizzy garnered mixed reviews from fans and critics alike with 2016’s ‘Views‘, though it was still widely successful. Now, focussing on his forthcoming set, the 34-year-old rapper predicts that the set will receive similar treatment from fans.
During an Instagram Live on his father’s account, the ‘Karaoke’ rapper chimed in when a fan praised the ‘One Dance’ assisted album. He said:
‘They hated on Views just like they will CWB but it’s music to evolve to’
An interesting statement to make, given that much of his fanbase’s critiques of ‘Views’ was that it didn’t display much artistic growth. We’re hopeful (as he undoubtedly is too) that the upcoming ‘Laugh Now, Cry Later’ assisted LP will be a huge commercial hit.
Also, it’s been reported today that the musician’s 2019 mixtape ‘Dark Lane Demo Tapes‘ has sold over 1 million units! Congratulations/
