After making headlines for snapping up Taylor Swift‘s catalogue, Scooter Braun is back in the news — this time for selling it.

17 months ago, the mega-manager’s company Ithaca Holdings purchased Big Machine Label Group and all of its music assets — which included the master rights to Swift’s first six studio albums.
The move infuriated the chart-topping singer, who has asserted on multiple occasions that she was not given the chance to participate in the deal. Nor was she aware of it.
Now, in the month the star is legally allowed commence re-recording her music (which she insisted she would), Braun has offloaded the catalogue. And for a hefty sum.
According to Variety, the industry titan sold the assets for “north of $300 million” to an as yet unknown investment fund. The deal was allegedly completed two weeks ago.
Word is that Braun has made quite the profit.
Suffice to say, it’ll be all sorts of interesting to discover the mystery entity who now own the catalogue – which includes cuts such as ‘Shake It Off’ and ‘We Are Never Getting Back Together.’
