November 17 brought with it the 28th anniversary of Whitney Houston‘s iconic ‘Bodyguard’ soundtrack – the best-selling movie companion album of all-time.
As Houston fans the world over reflect on the blockbuster project, which famously features the diva’s signature hit ‘I Will Always Love You,’ some of her industry peers and admirers joined the chorus.
Chief among them was Mariah Carey, who shared stage and screen time with Whitney via their Academy Award-winning soundtrack hit, ‘When You Believe’ (from Disney’s 1998 animated classic ‘Prince of Egypt’).
Hot on the promo trail in support of her September-released memoir and forthcoming Christmas-themed specials – Carey visited Naomi Campbell‘s popular Youtube talk show, ‘No Filter with Naomi,’ Tuesday (November 24) to dish her on legendary career, time with Whitney, and so much more.

Mariah On Whitney:
“She and I had the best time. I love her spirit and her energy and it was like people didn’t expect us to get along. Anyone who knew us both knew we would totally get along. I really appreciate her giving of herself with me because she didn’t have to be like that.
I totally get who she was and what she meant to the world.“
Mariah On Sandra:
“I wish I would have called you back when it happened because I was so upset and nobody came to my rescue at that point,” Carey said to Naomi. “But whatever, I can’t – it’s ignorance.”
