Mariah Carey‘s ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ is truly the gift that keeps on giving.
For, the song has set yet another record. This time it has earned the biggest single-day streaming record in Spotify history.

The track earned a whopping 17.223 million streams on Christmas Eve (December 24). She bests the record she set last year of 12 million streams in a single day (as we reported here).
The Songbird Supreme then took to Twitter to express her appreciation, saying:
“I know people think I’m making “coin” (lil secret: artists make very little from streams) but the real reason I’m sitting here in astonishment & gratitude is seeing the joy this little song I wrote brings to people. THANK YOU & MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!”
The song first appeared on her ‘Merry Christmas’ album back in 1994 and has gone on to become a holiday staple. However, it had not topped the Billboard Hot 100 until last year, where it ruled for three weeks between 2019 and 2020, allowing Carey to become the first artist to top the charts in four different decades (as we reported here). It has since topped the chart once more this year.
