Following much speculation, rapper Lil Wayne has been pardoned by Donald Trump.
Today, on the controversial president’s last full day in office, pardoned over 100 people – with Weezy being one of sum.
As reported, the MC was facing ten years in prison after pleading guilty to illegally possessing a loaded weapon on a private jet while traveling to Miami.
Given that Wayne is a convicted felon (see gun charge from thirteen years ago), he was in a serious spot of trouble…until today.
Many anticipated the pardon after Wayne publicly endorsed Trump last October saying:
Just had a great meeting with @realdonaldtrump @potus besides what he’s done so far with criminal reform, the platinum plan is going to give the community real ownership. He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done. 🤙🏾
Others included on the list of pardons include Trump’s former campaign manager Steve Bannon and former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick.
‘Tiger King’ Joe Exotic, who had been publicly campaigning for a pardon, did not make the list.
