Following delays, Keyshia Cole and Ashanti‘s #Verzuz battle is finally set to take place tomorrow (January 21)!
The eagerly awaited spar had first been scheduled in December but was postponed when Ashanti contracted coronavirus. A rescheduled January date was then scrapped due to rising rates of infection in the US.
All of that is in rearview now, though, as we’re just one more sleep away from the musical showdown.
To amplify the already volumized buzz, #Verzuz has released Cole’s titillating teaser promo.

Let It Go has two features on it and is her only top ten hit that was on one of her albums. Ashanti ha sold more than her with less albums she’s 25 million records sold. Keyshia barley sold over 10 million. So before you come for Ashanti make sure your favorite has a Grammy or can at least win 8 billboard awards on one night. Or hell even can get a BET award.

Ashanti was definitely more commercial per her accomplishments however Keyshia was a star longer even though she didn’t win all the awards, multiple top 10s, etc. She was still dropping music that did decent numbers in the early 2010s whereas Ashanti was flopping by 08.
