In a tearful live chat, the singer – who rose to prominence as part sister duo Chloe X Halle – revealed that she used to feel insecure about her body and has taken years to get to this point of confidence and embrace of herself.
Labelling herself a “nerd” on the inside, the 22-year-old made clear that she’s long danced since childhood and her private social pages – followed by friends and family – is home to the exact same flavor of content folk are seeing now.
She conclusively said:
“I am not going to change who I am.
Every woman out there: do not change who you are to make society comfortable. I am telling myself (too) that that’s not what I’m going to do.”
