After thrilling fans with a duo of EPs last year, ‘While You Wait’ and ‘Worth the Wait,’ 5-time GRAMMY nominee Tank is keeping the new music rolling.
His newest single, ‘Can’t Let It Show,’ showed up on streaming services Friday (February 26) – much to fan delight. Featuring a prominent of Kate Bush‘s 1988 hit, ‘This Woman’s Work’ (which was re-popularized nearly a decade later by Maxwell), ‘Can’t Let It Show’ houses lyrical structure similar to that of Tank’s biggest hit yet – 2007’s ‘Please Don’t Go.’
Reminiscing on a love-gone-wrong, the crooner reflects:
“How did I lose you? (How did I lose you?) / How did I blow that? How can we go back? / Why did I not choose you? Oh-oh / Instead of a good time I wasted your good time,” he sings.
Listen to the slow jam in full inside:
‘Can’t’ is believed to be the first taste of tunes set to line the singer-songwriter’s next album, his first since 2019’s ‘Elevation.’
100 percent love it!
FINALLY!!!!!!! This is the Tank we been waiting for! Writing REAL SONGS!!! I truly hope he’s done trying to make music for the trends and back to making music that HE loves and speaks to him and us! And I truly hope we support it this go round!
I need his big assssss tank parked right in black diamond puss 💎 black men are so s e x y💅🏿💅🏿💅🏿
I prefer Maxwell’s musicality.
Leave Maxwell’s musical style ALONE, although I know that even Maxwell listed this from another artist. Max did his thing but YOU, Tank DID NOT.
