Speaking during an impromptu audio chat on Twitter‘s new Spaces feature, the diva supreme said of the material she’s been baking:
“Oh my gosh, you guys! I’m like obsessed with what I’m doing right now. But I can’t reveal it yet. It’s exciting! I’m really with this music. I haven’t made [music in this way] in years. During the pandemic, I was able to rest my voice and get it back to where it needs to be. So here we are!”

I love Mariah, she’s my favorite voice and her catalogue is unbelievable.
For years, she’s been struggling with her single choices.
When I think of songs like Triumphant, You’re Mine, I Don’t (let’s not even talk about the video for this one)… I’m like how is this even possible.
Caution was definitely a step in the right direction, so hopefully what she is saying is accurate.
Can’t wait but it always takes forever till we hear something so I’m trying not to get excited so soon.
That’s some promising news. I hope she goes back to the pre-2006 Mariah that we all loved the most. She needs to remember that she doesn’t need to be in the same space as Ariana or Rihanna music. She is Mariah. She makes songs like Fly Like a Bird and Butterfly — those songs are untouchable by today’s artists.
We need Mariah to bring us Charmbracelet Part 2 and release sings like Yours or It’s A Wrap going forward!!!
Actually she needs to mix it up , nobody wants to keep hearing hero type ballads . You’re trying to keep her sound dated. She needs to do what’s out current and mix it up from 2006 .
