Jade Thirwall, Perrie Edwards, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock just became the first female ensemble to take home the award for Best British Group at the world-renowned ceremony.
The win, which comes after Pinnock and Edwards announced their respective pregnancies, saw the ladies pay homage to the many deserving groups that came before them such as the Spice Girls, Sugababes, Girls Aloud, and All Saints.
They also seized the moment to speak out against the racism and misogyny rife in showbusiness.
The group’s triumph follows the departure of founding member Jesy Nelson, who they also thanked.
