Singer-turned-reality star Traci Braxton has made no secret of her battles with weight over the years as documented by her own commentary on the hit WeTV reality show, ‘Braxton Family Values.’
However, after the 50-year-old took to Instagram over the weekend to unveil photos that demonstrated a dramatic weight loss, fans began voicing concern about her overall health.

Taking to social media early Saturday (July 3), Tra posted family photos from the wedding of her son, Kevin Surratt, Jr. However, commenters quickly diverted from the joyous occasion to point out Braxton’s weight loss as she showed off a noticeably smaller frame – leading some to wonder about her health status.
The speculation from the commenters led Traci to turn them off. As of time reported, she has not publicly addressed the hoopla.
Unable to comment on her page, some concerned followers took their commentary to Twitter.
if you’re fat they hate you, if you lose weight they pick on you too. Jesus! if Traci is sick then it’s her prerogative to discuss it publicly IF she wants to – why would people even assume that? Meanwhile must of us have gained weight during quarantine so kudos to Traci for losing it
Because she looks sickly! It doesn’t appear to be a healthy weight loss. Just an observation. I pray that she is in good health regardless.
She’s diabetic, therapy helped her grieve her daughter-like niece’s passing, and the end of Braxton Family Values lessened the constant stress hormone shot that is family tension. Plus, looks like all the fat was transferred to her daughter-in-law. 😊

I just can’t believe how ignorant and insensitive people can be. It’s a pretty sad world that we live in today!!! The worse thing a person could ever do to themselves is THINK SOMETHING CAN’T GO WRONG IN THEIR LIFE!!!! Keep Living!!!!
I don’t see anything wrong w her just bc she lost weight. I thought people would learn their lesson about judging people who loses weight without revelation when Chadwick Boseman passed away buttt I guess not smh..anyway Traci look like Aretha Franklin when she lost weight. I would suggest she ROCK her petite ness with style…that dress look a little too big for her

No shade…but she was acting reeeeeal junkie-esque on the last season of BFV. I said then that I hoped she wasn’t on drugs. Especially being that her niece that she was close to died of an overdose. I just hope she’s okay. There’s nothing seeing wrong with having genuine concern for someone. You can look at her and tell she didn’t “just lose weight”… There’s a healthy look…and unhealthy look.

Chaswick Boseman was different because people were making fun of his appearance having no idea that he was actually terminally ill and didn’t look that way by choice. With Traci, most people are actually speculating about whether she’s sick, not insulting her appearance like they did with Chadwick. That’s the opposite of what people were saying about Chadwick. I happen to think it’s rude either way, but what happened with Chadwick was much worse.
Also, losing that amount of weight in a short period of time is never healthy unless you’re morbidly obese, which she wasn’t. It’s jarring to see the difference. She’s also the only one wearing a mask. It’s the overall image that’s concerning.
