The hard-hitting cut, which was co-produced by Kanye West, has premiered at #2 on the coveted count.
Its impressive debut was fueled by mammoth streams (40.6 million), 2.9 million in radio audience, and 10,900 digital downloads sold.
The Jack Harlow assisted jam was bested by BTS’ ‘Butter,’ which has logged its ninth non-consecutive week at #1.
By shooting in at #2 with ‘Industry Baby’ and holding strong at #8 with his preceding chart-topper ‘Montero (Call Me By Your Name),’ it means Nas has placed two songs within the top 10 simultaneously for the second time in his career.
He previously achieved the feat in 2019 with ‘Old Town Road’ and ‘Panini.’
For Harlow, ‘Industry Baby’ marks his second time in the top 10 of the Hot 100 and sees him match his previous peak. 2020’s ‘Whats Poppin’ featuring Lil Wayne, DaBaby, and Tory Lanez peaked at #2.
The achievement comes ahead of Nas’ debut album ‘Montero,’ which he says is due imminently.
