Because the scorching cut, which is lifted from the star’s album ‘Made In Lagos,’ has climbed to a major new peak on the Billboard Hot 100.

On this week’s iteration of the coveted count, ‘Essence’ leaped 28 spots to #16.
The Tems assisted cut benefited from the boost given by the Justin Bieber remix of the track.
In achieving the feat, the song re-affirms its position as Wizkid’s highest-charting release on the Hot 100 as the lead artist. He previously hit #1 as a feature on Drake’s 2016 smash ‘One Dance.’
