The MTV Video Music Awards return on September 12 and, with the countdown on, the first names set to rock the stage have been unveiled.

Moments ago, organizers for the extravaganza – which takes place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn – announced that Lil Nas X, Camila Cabello, Lorde, Olivia Rodrigo, and Machine Gun Kelly will all be performing at the VMAs 2021.
The slots serve as major looks for each act, given all are in the midst of heavy promotion for their latest releases.
Indeed, Lil Nas is riding high off the success of ‘Industry Baby’ and is gearing up for the release of his debut album ‘Montero’; Cabello is looking to ignite new single ‘Don’t Go Yet,’; Lorde just dropped new music, as has MGK, and Ms. Rodrigo is staging quite the takeover.
