H.E.R. has cause for celebration.
Because the R&B star’s long-awaited album debut ‘Back of My Mind’ has reached a major milestone.

This week, the set – which was released in June and is home to singles such as ‘Damage’ and ‘Slide’ – has officially been certified Gold by the RIAA.
The achievement recognizes equivalent US sales of 500,000.
Speaking on the feat, H.E.R. gushed:
“AHHHHH BACK OF MY MIND IS GOLD WOWWWWW. I’m so grateful. Thank you to all the people that helped create this album. Thank you to the lovers of music. She gang. All the fans. Love y’all.”
The news comes on the heels of Oscar and GRAMMY wins for the critically acclaimed songbird.
It also arrives as she gears up for the latest installment ‘Lights On’ – her very own R& festival.

What made this album gold? The sales haven’t been great. Neither have the streams. Streaming has diluted album sales/certifications far too much.
