Elton John and Stevie Wonder‘s long-awaited collaboration has finally arrived.
The two music legends unleashed their song, ‘Finish Line.’ It is a soulful tune that speaks of overcoming difficult times with the help of a friend.
Across the song, both artists sing:
“I’ve been down the darkest alleys / Been to the bottom where the angels cry / Thought it had all been, all for nothing / Until I saw you at the finish line.“
‘Finish Line’ is lifted from John’s upcoming ‘The Lockdown Sessions’ album, which features the previously released tracks ‘After All’ with Charlie Puth and ‘Cold Heart’ with Dua Lipa. The album arrives October 22.
In the meantime, listen to Elton and Stevie join forces below…
Sounds great, really sweet song. Love the lyrics. Not Elton’s best vocal performance but he held his own and Stevie sounds as good as ever. The background vocals are great as well.
