At long last Toni Braxton‘s critically acclaimed album ‘Libra’ has finally been unleashed on streaming services sixteen years after its initial arrival.
Home to jams such as ‘Please,’ ‘Trippin,’ and the Rich Harrison-produced ‘Take This Ring,’ the 2005 LP has remarkably been absent from the digital landscape.
Long demanded, the project was released on Blackground Records. As such, it was caught up in the chaos surrounding the label – which notably was at the center of high-profile spats with the likes of JoJo, Timbaland, and Tank.
Now, with the once-defunct imprint relaunched (and bringing with it Aaliyah and all its artists’ releases), ‘Libra’ is the latest to arrive. And tidily in Libra season – which houses Toni’s birthday.

It’s been available on Spotify for years, just not as the official album. As someone else said, had the CD since 2005 anyway, one of her best and truly underrated, Minnie I’d still my song!

I love Toni but this is by far her weakest album (after Pulse) in my opinion. I’ve never understood why it’s a favorite to so many people.
