Maxwell is making moves.
The revered R&B singer has announced a new label deal with BMG, which will serve as the home of his incoming material.

The ‘Pretty Wings’ performer has departed Columbia Records (his label home for 25-years) and entered his own imprint, Musze, into a pact with BMG.
Billboard confirms the deal is a multi-album global recording agreement.
Speaking in a statement Maxwell said:
“I’m looking forward to this next chapter and new partnership with my label Musze/BMG and all that we can accomplish together. The sky is the limit!”
BMG’s Senior VP of Music Marking Tim Reid added:
“Maxwell is an iconic creator of culture, and we’re pleased to enter into a partnership with him and Musze Inc. We look forward to being an integral part of the expansion of his artistry and brand moving forward.”
Maxwell’s deal with BMG comes on the heels of the star being announced as the recipient of the Legend honor at the upcoming Soul Train Awards – which air November 28 on BET.
