In a new interview with Rolling Stone, her brother Finneas sat down with the publication to promote his album ‘Optimist.’
While there, he said he and Eilish were “really excited to start working on” the latter’s third album. As for how long the pair has gotten into the project, he said they had “interesting skeletons” for songs written, but were “not sure what animals they are.”
“We’ve got the net in the ocean, and we’re picking up detritus. And then you sift through all that, and you pick out the treasure, and then you have an album. I’m really excited. I think we’ve got a lot to say.”
Later in the interview, Finneas did confirm that the album would not arrive until after Eilish’s upcoming tour.
Eilish’s second album – ‘Happier Than Ever’ – arrived back in July and produced the singles: ‘Lost Cause,’ ‘NDA,’ ‘Your Power,’ ‘Therefore I Am,’ ‘My Future,’ and ‘Male Fantasy.’
The project is also up for several GRAMMY nominations, including Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album.
