It seems the rumors are true.
Just hours after it was reported ‘Blinding Lights’ star The Weeknd was set to feature on a new posthumous release from late R&B darling Aaliyah, the R&B diva’s record label has taken to social media to confirm.
Details inside:
Blackground Records, Aaliyah’s label home, took to Facebook Tuesday night (December 14) to announce ‘Poison’ – the reported first single from the singer’s first posthumous LP – will hit digital shelves Friday (December 17).
Featuring The Weeknd, the tune is one of many set to board the effort with a big name attached. According to Blackground CEO Barry Hankerson, stars like Drake, Future, Chris Brown, and more are confirmed features for the set (as we reported here).
While there’s no official word on the Aaliyah album’s due date, it’s believed to be imminent as more and more attention is being called to the website Aaliyahiscoming.com

Y’all rather hear me moan than hearing this hell girl’s voice 💅🏿 Aiiiiiii siiiii uh uh uh papi. We don’t wanna the voice from dead, hunnie
You NEED Jesus and a therapist
You need to learn how to read and write complete sentences in English before you come talking s**** about someone. Aaliyah as a dead woman is still worth more than your s**** life ever will be. She’s accomplishing more after her death then you will in your entire life. Don’t be mad because in school none of the boys on the football team wanted to gang bang your slimy warted ässhole you gross fat bottom.
This thing is a plant. Stop replying to it
Hope they drop the album Christmas week

Damn you must be ugly as f*** lol
After 2 decades, we don’t need no featuring on the song coming out. Ok this is a marketing move blablabla but I’m not here for his vocals.
B**** I been waiting 20+ years for this
