Saweetie fans, affectionately called #IcyGang, who were bummed the rising rapstress didn’t make good on her promise to release her serially delayed debut album, ‘Pretty B*tch Music,’ over the summer will be thrilled to know the ‘Icy Chain’ hitmaker won’t be leaving them in the cold this winter.
As she continues to revamp the project to bring it up to her standards, the 28-year-old (born Diamonté Harper) is set to tide music lovers over with a 7-song EP
More inside:
While chatting with journalist and author Gerrick Kennedy last week at a Jack Daniel’s-sponsored event, reports have it Saweetie – on hand to unveil three custom cocktails (Expensive Taste, The Icy Mule, and Jack’s Spiked Tea) – revealed she’s going to be serving more than liquor in the coming weeks.
Her ‘Icy Season’ EP will drop on January 7 and feature a who’s who of guest stars. Though she offered few additional details, we expect to hear more about the set before the year’s end.
The forthcoming EP won’t be the only thing keeping her busy in January, however. As we reported here, the ‘Best Friend’ beauty is up for her first two GRAMMY nominations at the 64th annual ceremony set to air January 31 on CBS.
