Fugees CANCEL Reunion Tour

Published: Friday 21st Jan 2022 by Sam

In news that will no doubt devastate fans, the Fugees have announced the cancellation of their hotly anticipated reunion tour.

Full story below…

As reported, Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean, and Pras Michel were set to embark on a worldwide trek to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their groundbreaking album, ‘The Score.’

At the time of the tour news, the trio reunited for a pop-up performance in New York to amplify buzz – marking their first time on stage together in several years.

With the global health crisis still wreaking havoc, the concert was postponed until 2022.

Now, it’s been axed in its entirety.

A statement from the group read:

“We anticipate and understand disappointment but our anniversary tour will not be able to happen,” the group wrote in a social media post. “The continued Covid pandemic has made touring conditions difficult, and we want to make sure we keep our fans and ourselves healthy and safe. An idea sparked to honor and celebrate this 25th anniversary of ‘The Score’ but we see now it may not currently be our time for revisiting this past work. We’re grateful for the special night we did get to share with some of you in New York, with that rare live moment. If opportunity, public safety, and scheduling allow, we hope to be able to revisit this again sometime soon. Thank you for all of your love and support throughout the years.”

🤣😂🤣 i rather you canceled it instead of letting your fans wait for more than 2 hours every show. I would like to hear Miss. Hill singing Dance like this tho. Lateness don’t lie.

Was it ever really going to happen anyways? Lauryn is always 5 hours late to her solo shows….

They only have only ONE hit album and absolutely ZERO top 20 Billboard HOT 100 hits. Their cover of Roberta Flack’s Killing Me Softly was never released as a single – it was an airplay hit but it was a COVER – and never charted on the Billboard Hot 100. Lauren Hill has one hit album and then FLOP!!!!
