In celebration of her Ecuadorian roots, Pop diva Christina Aguilera unleashed “La Fuerza” – her first Spanish project in more than two decades.
Released January 21, the six-song effort also came as the first solo EP of her career and soared to chart battle on the wings of singles “Pa’ Mis Muchachas” (featuring Becky G, Nicki Nicole, and Nathy Peluso), “Somos Nada,” and “Santo” (featuring Ozuna).
When not fielding critical acclaim from some of the industry’s top tastemakers, the opus was garnering praise from the diva’s dedicated fans (affectionately called #Fighters) whose fight to get her atop global sales tallies proved victorious (as we reported here).
Halfway through the set’s initial sales tracking week, industry analysts have revealed if her supporters can expect to see that triumph reflected on the Stateside album chart: the Billboard 200.

Like the #28 peak of her first Spanish release, 2000’s “Mi Reflejo,” “La Fuerza” – if the prediction above rings true – seems poised to miss the Billboard 200’s top 20 upon its arrival on charts next week.
The EP is reportedly just a chapter in a three-part project that, when combined, will form Aguilera’s ninth studio album.

It’s an EP with literally only 6 songs. I wouldn’t expect the EP to dominate the charts. The more songs included on a body of work, gives the Artist the ability to have more streams. This is one of the reasons why so many. For example Chris Brown includes almost 40 songs on his album which eventually increases his album sales due to streams. I’m sure people bought and more likely stream the EP but this was expected. This is not a standard way of promoting. Hopefully she will succeed and do well with her other upcoming releases. She should do a full album and promote maybe do a double album. She really has nothing left to prove.
Just for the illiterate britney fans and haters. This is an EP of literally 6 songs,not a full.on album. Plus afted 22 years returning to latin music,yes this is a very strong and solid showing.

La Fuerza is just a solid body of work. Her vocals are pure fire especially on La riena.

She hollers and wails in English and Spanish. She is an artist that doesn’t know how to control the range of her voice and over sings everything with the same boring runs and throaty holler like she smoked a pack of Pall Mall cigarettes and drank a bottle of m Mountain Dew Red with Pop Rocks in it.
Her image has always been lacking. That bleached blonde look and a chubby body ain’t going to sell. She has never been s*** even when she was dancing in her Bloomers and chaps in that Dirrrty Song Video.
If that holds up, that is fantastic for a Spanish EP. For comparison, Selena Gomez, who is in her commercial prime, debuted at #22 last year for hers with a little over 20k.
Christina has been showing for years now that she is musically completely lost and without identity. Last success came back in 2006 and that is in pop music a big no no. Except for her hard-core fans, main public and listeners have lost any connection to her persona. Instead of growing old with her audience and act like a proper professional pop star, she went on to become just another desperate woman trying to be still 20 years old and look stupid not to mention that she was actually more professional in her twenties then now. The same problem has Madonna but in her case, she was still aging well and so did her music when she was 40. She turned ridiculous in her fifties.
Instead of doing pop music with quality and surround herself with good songwriters, she as most american pop stars these days work with melody deaf people, rappers and trying to experiment. No one cares for that. Without well written hits and memorable songs you can act like the biggest b**** with lip fillers dancing in latex costume but people will not give a crap. They just want some good music and that is something 99% of pop industry today is not capable of.
