Predictions Are In: Christina Aguilera’s ‘La Fuerza’ Set To Sell…

Published: Thursday 27th Jan 2022 by Rashad

In celebration of her Ecuadorian roots, Pop diva Christina Aguilera unleashed “La Fuerza” – her first Spanish project in more than two decades.

Released January 21, the six-song effort also came as the first solo EP of her career and soared to chart battle on the wings of singles “Pa’ Mis Muchachas” (featuring Becky G, Nicki Nicole, and Nathy Peluso), “Somos Nada,” and “Santo” (featuring Ozuna).

When not fielding critical acclaim from some of the industry’s top tastemakers, the opus was garnering praise from the diva’s dedicated fans (affectionately called #Fighters) whose fight to get her atop global sales tallies proved victorious (as we reported here).

Halfway through the set’s initial sales tracking week, industry analysts have revealed if her supporters can expect to see that triumph reflected on the Stateside album chart: the Billboard 200.

Christina Aguilera’s ‘La Fuerza’

Predicted First-Week Sales (SPS):  <17,700 units

Predicted Billboard 200 Debut:  <#20

Like the #28 peak of her first Spanish release, 2000’s “Mi Reflejo,” “La Fuerza” – if the prediction above rings true – seems poised to miss the Billboard 200’s top 20 upon its arrival on charts next week.

The EP is reportedly just a chapter in a three-part project that, when combined, will form Aguilera’s ninth studio album.

Until we find out more details about the next iteration of the trilogy, you can stream ‘La Fuerza’ by clicking here.

Who cares about sales in 2022. Christina has a stable life, looks after her family, makes the music she wants to make with critical acclaim, still tours and performs and has a £200m net worth. Jokes on you if you think a couple hundred thousand sales of an album in a first week means success.

Would have thought it would be less, to be honest

  3. ororo January 27, 2022

It’s an EP with literally only 6 songs. I wouldn’t expect the EP to dominate the charts. The more songs included on a body of work, gives the Artist the ability to have more streams. This is one of the reasons why so many. For example Chris Brown includes almost 40 songs on his album which eventually increases his album sales due to streams. I’m sure people bought and more likely stream the EP but this was expected. This is not a standard way of promoting. Hopefully she will succeed and do well with her other upcoming releases. She should do a full album and promote maybe do a double album. She really has nothing left to prove.

Just for the illiterate britney fans and haters. This is an EP of literally 6 songs, not a full.on album. Plus afted 22 years returning to latin music, yes this is a very strong and solid showing.

Now run along and self medicate with Brit Brit. Cuz this is only the start of greater things to come from christina Aguilera under RocNation management.

La Fuerza is just a solid body of work. Her vocals are pure fire especially on La riena.

All these overblown drags when Xtina is doing just fine.

      Shakira’s Spanish album (2017): 29k first week
      Selena’s Spanish EP (2021): 23k first week

And now “La Fuerza” at around 18k and counting so far.

What’s to drag? Do you gringos forget that this is SPANISH music on an AMERICAN album chart?

    • Saint Germain January 27, 2022

Hahahah you’re really dumb.. aren’t you?
Britney could never speak another language… She’s psycho, a junkie, and too stupid to reach that… Whereas Christina can sing effortlessly in Spanish and think that that is not a full album just an EP with just 6 songs.. actually she did pretty good.

      • FLOPtina SCREAMguilera January 27, 2022

    • Venancio January 27, 2022

How small and petty those hater’s can be , go and support your Britney spend your energy support her not hate on others , Trust me She will need lots of it . Christina’s had done an amazing work love the 6 new song , vocals are just amazing and if you bush ignorant haters don’t know any Spanish I would recommend you to educate your selfs and learn a little of it . lyrically the songs are on point and very emotional. You are well come. 🥰🥂

  13. robvado January 27, 2022

She hollers and wails in English and Spanish. She is an artist that doesn’t know how to control the range of her voice and over sings everything with the same boring runs and throaty holler like she smoked a pack of Pall Mall cigarettes and drank a bottle of m Mountain Dew Red with Pop Rocks in it.

Her image has always been lacking. That bleached blonde look and a chubby body ain’t going to sell. She has never been s*** even when she was dancing in her Bloomers and chaps in that Dirrrty Song Video.

    • Rye January 27, 2022

If that holds up, that is fantastic for a Spanish EP. For comparison, Selena Gomez, who is in her commercial prime, debuted at #22 last year for hers with a little over 20k.

Christina has been showing for years now that she is musically completely lost and without identity. Last success came back in 2006 and that is in pop music a big no no. Except for her hard-core fans, main public and listeners have lost any connection to her persona. Instead of growing old with her audience and act like a proper professional pop star, she went on to become just another desperate woman trying to be still 20 years old and look stupid not to mention that she was actually more professional in her twenties then now. The same problem has Madonna but in her case, she was still aging well and so did her music when she was 40. She turned ridiculous in her fifties.
Instead of doing pop music with quality and surround herself with good songwriters, she as most american pop stars these days work with melody deaf people, rappers and trying to experiment. No one cares for that. Without well written hits and memorable songs you can act like the biggest b**** with lip fillers dancing in latex costume but people will not give a crap. They just want some good music and that is something 99% of pop industry today is not capable of.

  15. Viva Xtina Latina January 27, 2022

  16. Jessica Simpson > Christina Aguiloser January 27, 2022

Well the flop numbers aren’t surprising. Christina has been musically irrelevant since 2007. Her and her fans have always been jealous of Britney….

I’m confused why I keep seeing Britney being brought up in regards to another artist Spanish project? I think she and her fans have bigger fish to fry

Anyway, good for Christina to manage a debut of #20 with a Spanish EP. That’s impressive

  19. ShaunTwaz January 28, 2022

This is amazing. Xtina is an ICON. A legend. And this era/music IS NOT FOR AMERICANS WHO SPEAK ENGLISH. You can’t compare this with her other bodies of work BECAUSE THIS IS FOR THE SPANISH SPEAKING WORLD. Get it into.
It’s FIRE! She doesn’t care about numbers. She has already proven her place in this world. Haters gon’ hate. And people are loving this album. So byeeee.

  20. Xtina January 29, 2022

Icon. The one. The only. The great.

  21. La Reina January 31, 2022

Not forgetting it’s an online release EP only. Imagine if she release it in CD format, could hit double or 50K.
But in today’s time .. selling 20K is a big thing..
