Jake Gyllenhaal is getting candid.
The famed actor is now speaking out on Taylor Swift’s infamous song ‘All Too Well.’

In a new interview for Esquire, Gyllenhaal shares for the first time what he thinks of the song, and if he too believes the exes’ breakup inspired it. In the spread, he says:
“It has nothing to do with me. It’s about her relationship with her fans. It is her expression. Artists tap into personal experiences for inspiration, and I don’t begrudge anyone that.
Gyllenhaal shared that the recent criticism from Swift’s fans – affectionately called #Swifties – has not been hard to deal with.
His words come after Swift recently re-recorded the song for her ‘RED (Taylor’s Version)’ album, where she included the original 10-minute version of the tune. Having been listed by several publications as her best song and one of the best songs of all time, the re-recorded tune debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 late last year. The renewed interest in the song is what sparked a new wave of criticism toward Gyllenhaal.
