Days after making headlines for saying he was a better rapper than Eminem (as we reported here), The Game isn’t playing any games with detractors who believe otherwise.

The ‘How We Do’ hitmaker (born Jayceon Taylor) not only got lips moving when he took to REVOLT’s ‘Drink Champs’ podcast to challenge Em to a VERZUZ battle, but jaws dropped when he took to social media over the weekend to reiterate the stance.

“Is Eminem better than me? Nah, he not, bro. And I think the best way to see if he is or if I am is let’s rap about it. Let’s get up. Let’s get in the studio,” he said. “Let’s rap about it. Let’s do something. Let’s put something out. Let’s see ’cause that’s what this shit is, bro. It’s rap.”

And while Eminem has yet to render an official response, his dedicated fans have been taking Taylor to task on his behalf.  Tired of the hoopla, Game went on a lengthy Twitter tirade Tuesday night (March 8) to clap back at people who suggest Slim Shady is a better rapper because he’s sold more records.

The same day the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) took to press to announce Eminem had become the best-selling artist of the digital age, Jayceon set his sights on the legendary emcee again.

Particularly aiming at critics who say the Aftermath star is better because he’s sold more records, The Game suggested those mega sales may not have been completely organic.

“Major labels are known for buying albums and paying off everyone to boost sales of the artists THEY CHOOSE to shine the light on,” he said before continuing, “F*ck how many records he sold, you sold, or I sold. That’s just numbers on paper and some little awards that ain’t no bigger than my YMCA trophies.”
