Concerns are mounting for rapper Chika after she took to social media to share a message many have deemed a suicide note.

The femcee, who is GRAMMY-nominated, shocked fans with a stream on consciousness articulating her desire to no longer be alive.
In part, she wrote:
“I went to the top of the intercontinental, but could not jump. not because i don’t want to, but because the metal stairs were scary.”
Later, she continued:
“It looks like crying wolf, but it’s not. it’s just difficult to find the right way. the quickest way. the painless way. i am tired of myself too.
I’m going to finish my drink and find a way that work. Thanks for the ride. I hated it.”

Social media is supposedly horrible for mental health yet ppl will log on & share their most deepest darkest intimate thoughts. What’s odd is most ppl won’t even open up OR allow themselves to be this vulnerable w/ their loved ones.
Ppl who are sick, normally see a doctor. Treat mental health the same way & seek immediate care w/ a trained “Professional”. You’re doing yourself a huge disservice going to IG or Twitter.
I agree. Looking for sympathy or kindness but likely to get the same negativity you were getting 2hrs ago.
It would’ve been easier for her to contact a therapist or mental health worker and discuss her feelings .
I feel bad that she feels this way, but the way she chose to express herself will no doubt fuel her depression.
