Chart Check [Hot 100]: Doja Cat’s ‘Woman’ Hits New Peak Thanks to History-Making Runs Atop R&B & Pop Radio Charts

Published: Wednesday 13th Apr 2022 by Rashad

Just weeks before collecting the first GRAMMY of her career at the ceremony’s 64th annual edition (as we reported here), Doja Cat celebrated another personal milestone as her ‘Planet Her’ hit, ‘Woman,’ clawed to the top of the Billboard Rhythmic Airplay charts.  With the ascension, the hitmaker became the first woman to plant four #1 hits on that tally from one album.

The tune’s reign isn’t limited to that specific radio format, however. Peruse of updated Pop and R&B airplay charts sees her listed firmly at #1 there as well – a domination that’s led to an overall rise on the Hot 100 this week.

See how inside:

When ‘Woman’ first cracked the top 10 last month, Cat became the first female rapper to place 3 songs in the chart tier from one album. This week, as she sits at #1 on Rhythmic Radio, Pop Radio, and R&B Radio charts respectively, her continued rule on the format overall bumps the genre-bending tune up to a new peak of #8.

Here are the numbers that powered the push.

  • Streaming ≈ 7.7 million U.S.-based streams
  • Sales ≈ 1,300 digital downloads
  • Radio Airplay ≈  57.3 million audience impressions

Look below to see who joins her in the top 25 on this week’s updated TGJ Chart Check:  Hot 100.
