DaniLeigh is back and pours out her feelings on her new single ‘Dead To Me.’
The confessional cut sees the R&B belle address the public fallout from her relationship with DaBaby – which saw the singer verbally degraded by the MC live on Instagram. Indeed, the ‘Rockstar’ lyricist, who the songbird shares a daughter with, the starlet his “certified side b*tch” – much to her dismay. Her brother was also attacked by the rapper and his crew at a bowling alley earlier this year too.
On the track, which DaniLeigh says is lifted from an incoming EP named ‘My Side,’ she sings:
“You’re dead to me. I ain’t got time for toxic energy. Mama never liked your a**, brother wanna fight your a**, daddy hate your trflin’ a**.”
Speaking on the project at large, she told Angie Martinez:
“I feel like the project is closure for me to just move on for my next chapter in life and just focus on having fun and being a mom and living life in a positive light.”
