Much of Britney Spears‘ spell in the spotlight has played out like theater. So, it was only fitting that her wedding to partner Sam Asghari served up soap opera in earnest.
For, the singer’s ex-husband Jason Alexander showed up in an attempt to crash the ceremony.
Full story below…
Alexander – who Spears was famously married to for a grand total of 55 hours in 2004 – showed up at her Los Angeles residence and somehow made it onto the property before being questioned by security.
Stressing that he had been invited by the ‘Slave 4 U’ performer and that the 40-year-old is his first and only wife.
But it gets even more bizarre.
Alexander, who live-streamed the entire episode, managed to advance further into the home before being tackled and restrained on the floor by security.
As of writing, police are on the scene and treating the matter as a trespassing incident.
That wasn’t the only talking point of Spears’ big day.
For, TMZ confirms that her teenage sons – Sean Preston and Jayden James – are not in attendance at the ceremony. The teens, who are 16 and 15 respectively, are still said to wish their Mom well. A rep for their father Kevin Federline said in a statement:
“Although the boys will not be in attendance, Kevin and the boys are happy for Britney and wish her and Sam all the best going forward.”
Stay tuned for more on Spears’ nuptials – which come six months after the termination of her controversial conservatorship.
