Adele has doubled down on her decision to postpone her Las Vegas residency.
As reported, the British belter put an abrupt pause on ‘Weekends With Adele’ just one day before it was set to scorch Sin City.
Now, while on the press trail for her comeback shows on home soil, the ‘Easy On Me’ songbird has opened up about the last-minute cancellations and what the future holds.

Speaking on BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs, Adele said:
“I definitely felt everyone’s disappointment and I was devastated and I was frightened about letting them down, and I thought I could pull it together and make it work and I couldn’t, and I stand by that decision.
I don’t think any other artist would have done what I did, and I think that is why it was such a massive, massive story”
Acknowledging that the backlash has been “brutal,” she shared that the public sentiment left her feeling like a “shell of a person for a couple of months.”
She went on to expand on her rationale for pulling the plug:
“You can’t buy me, you can’t buy me for nothing. I’m not going to just do a show because I have to or because people are going to be let down or because we’re going to lose loads of money. I’m like, ‘The show’s not good enough.’”
As for the rumors of a relaunch, the 34-year-old said:
“Of course I’m working on it! I’m not gonna update you if I ain’t got nothing to update you with, because that just leads to more disappointment.”
