Macy Gray is now weighing in on the transgender debate and it has caused her to catch a lot of flack.

In a new interview with Piers Morgan, she revealed that a woman requires being born with “boobs” and a “vagina.” Moreover, she went on to say that: “Just because you go change your parts doesn’t make you a woman.”
The host observed that public figures are often wary of being candid about the controversial issue due to fear of backlash.
The ‘I Try’ singer agreed and doubled down on her comments and defined a woman as a “human being with boobs” before stating: “How about you start there? And have a vagina.”

It is worth noting that she did clarify that she backs transgender rights – but did draw a line when it comes to athletic competitions. Elsewhere in the interview, she also threw support behind ‘Harry Potter’ author J.K. Rowling, who has been criticized in the past for her outspoken transgender views.

The fact that you are discriminated against based upon color, whether or not you have a six pack or not, bisexual people are told they’re not living their truth, the trans community is usually mad at drag queens because they seem to get more respect than they do, there’s a huge social status part to it all, and as far as relationships there’s absolutely no true loyalty. There are more open and partnered relationships seen on these online pages than anything before, everything is so sexually based to the point where the likelihood of successful marriage seems slim to none. I am all for having equal rights but I will not sit here and force it down a child’s throat I will not force it down the public’s throat I will simply request that we be treated fairly and that we fight to be treated fairly without all this drama I think that we would be taken more seriously if every year for the last decade we didn’t announce a new alphabet to add to the list of things for everyone to know. People are sick of it and all things regarding s** and sexual orientation should not be taught in school at all!

You say the only way you can come into this world is man/woman s** but that isn’t true. It’s like saying every time you have sexual intercourse that the goal is to create a life. Not true. It’s a limited way of thinking that would have robbed people of intimacy, pleasure and the children they couldn’t have and we’re told it’s the only way. Just think of the limitations that would impose on people if they accepted that as the truth and there was no room for wider considerations.
