Academy & EMMY Award-nominated actress Michelle Pfeiffer, who starred in Coolio’s music video for ‘Gangsta’s Paradise’ (the lead single for her 1995 film ‘Dangerous Minds‘), took to social media to share her sympathies.
“Heartbroken to hear of the passing of the gifted artist @coolio,” she wrote beside a clip of ‘Paradise’ (as seen above). “A life cut entirely too short.”
His fellow GRAMMY-winning star, John Legend, also issued a statement about the loss.
“We are losing people at too young of an age,” Legend told ‘Entertainment Tonight.’ “Coolio made some great songs, it was soundtrack of our lives. He is gone too early and tragically, it’s so sad.”
