13 sensational tracks line ‘Hold the Girl,’ the highly anticipated sophomore studio album from rising Pop starlet Rina Sawayama.
Released Friday (September 16), the project – which comes as the follow-up to 2020’s critically acclaimed ‘SAWAYAMA’ – arrives on shelves courtesy of Dirty Hit and features an eclectic mix of genre offerings from grunge to Pop, EDM, and even country.
Preceded by housed tunes ‘Catch Me in the Air,’ ‘Phantom,’ ‘This Hell,’ and its title track, the set has already received quite the impressive response from major music industry tastemakers and critics – some of whom have hailed it one of the year’s standout Pop offerings.

The first 6 tracks sound like they were rejected for a Steps album, kinda dated radio 2 music and over produced. IMHO they chose the wrong singles, hopefully brave enough to release track 7, Your Age, next as its a banger and then get a new A and R if there’s a next album as her voice holds up when its not drowned by production.
i don’t quite agree about the first 6 tracks, but i agree that “your age” could’ve been a stronger single
