Diddy is undeniably one of the most successful and revered figures to emerge from the Hip-Hip scene. However, equally undeniable is the narrative that has trailed said success. A narrative centered around payment – or the lack thereof – of artists he once championed.
Appearing on The Breakfast Club today to promote his many ventures (including a return to music with Love Records and single ‘Gotta Move On’), the mogul seized the moment to (attempt to) set the record straight about what he intimates is misconceptions perpetuated by disgruntled artists he once rocked with.

Addressing the negative hot takes about him, the Bad Boy Records founder said:
“All I’ve ever given [people] is an opportunity and more money than a person was making. So, when I hear or see things and I’m like ‘this vibe that they got going on me…like I’m Big Red.’ [I don’t understand].”
When directly asked by Charlamagne Tha God if he’s stolen from artists, Diddy replied: “Never!”
“People have this thing called the tap-out button. When the money is running low, you gotta run this hustle to find somebody to blame. I have all my receipts.”
He went on to add:
“Anyone that thinks I owe them something, send the receipts you’ll get paid in 24 hours.”
The 52-year-old went on to say of one of his loudest detractors and former protege Mase:
“I did one alum with Mase. How much money do you think I owe this guy? I did one album with him and he went on to become a fake pastor and con people. And then you gon’ let him throw dirt on the God’s name? I’m back outside fighting for us and I’m also fighting back for me. Mase owes me $3 million.”

It’s not coincidental that ALL of his artists ended up with the same fate. Either they were broke, had one hit/no album, went crazy, got locked up, died or ended up a spiritual nutcase. Not coincidental at all.
Hunnie, we need a surviving puff daddy documentary💅🏾 Diva can’t count how many talented artists that diddy had been done them Dirty👇🏿
A crackhead like you trying to give Sean advice. Hahaha f*** is it April fool’s day
Bet Crackney hoeston spread her legs opened for puff daddy when her career was going downfall💅🏾
Diddy has big d***. Whitney didn’t spread her legs to kill jayz unborn babies like Beyonce
Or spread legs for tommy like Mariah
But she spread her legs for the drug dealer and woman abuser Bobby brown 🤣😂🤣 now that’s a self dragging. We love to see it! Dumb c u n t 💅🏾
Bobby was her husband. She allowed to. Better or worst.
Diddy didn’t do right by his artists!!! I wouldn’t doubt that he was predatory as well. After Biggie died he stopped investing in his artists…. Just look at the line up after 1998.
MGK says hi
So one artist out of dozens? Besides MGK isn’t
exclusively signed to Bad Boy.
I agree! From the outside in it looks like he does his artists dirty. He signs them then plays with them…..
So, diddy or didnt he steal the money?? Im confused!!
