The 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards kicked off Tuesday night (October 4) with a reboot of the network’s former Rap exclusive music video show, ‘Rap City.’
Helmed by its longtime host Big Tigger, the special edition showing featured interviews with G Herbo, Rapsody, Remy Ma, and Rap Queen Lil Kim.
The latter, who made headlines for recently hitting the studio with Cardi B after deeming the ‘Bodak Yellow’ beauty the princess of Rap, took to the platform to continue showering praise on the GRAMMY winner.

Cardi may be embroiled in beef with fellow female rappers Akbar V, JT, Nicki Minaj, and others, but there’s one she can always count on to be in her corner: Lil Kim. While appearing on the latest edition of ‘Rap City,’ Kim doubled down on that fact.
“Cardi is like the love of my life, y’all don’t even know. We talk a lot. People have no idea,” she said (as seen in the video above). “She’s my little sister but she’s really my big little sister. It’s facts.”
And although she dodged the question about the due date of the B duet, the 29-year-old wasn’t the only rapstress getting praise from the Queen.
Trina, who was on hand at the award show to receive its ultimate honor – the ‘I Am Hip-Hop’ lifetime achievement – also received a shower of kind words from Kim.
