From Beyonce to Rihanna, Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Taylor Swift, Christina Aguilera, and more, some of the biggest divas in music history have shared stage or studio time with Nicki Minaj.
And in a season where she’s showing more love than ever to her femcee counterparts (see: ‘Super Freaky Girl – Queens Mix’ and ‘Likkle Miss – Fine Nine Remix’), Minaj took to Instagram recently to reveal she’s looking to add even more heavyweights to her growing list of female collaborations.
See what we mean inside.
During an IG session with her beloved fans – affectionately called Barbz – on Friday (October 21), the GRAMMY nominee sent the group into a frenzy with the update that she has a release date for her yet-titled fifth album, her first studio effort since announcing plans to enter retirement in late 2019.
And though she was careful not to reveal the actual date, she certainly had ears perked with other revealed details about the forthcoming set including news that she’s eyeing some big names as features on the forthcoming set.
“Y’all know I love Toni Braxton,” Minaj said in response to a commenter’s mention of the 7-time GRAMMY winner. “I also love Tamar,” she added before whispering she wants them both to sing on her album (as seen in the video above).
The award-winning R&B sisters are just two of many big names fans threw out to determine if they’d landed guest spots on Nicki’s new project including Rihanna, JT (of City Girls fame), and even K-Pop acts.
At writing, Toni hasn’t made a public response to Nicki’s admission. Tamar, on the other hand, is ready!
