Rihanna made her grand return to music with her new song ‘Lift Me Up’ from the ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ soundtrack.

And the haunting hymn is delivering grand results for the Bajan belle.

Unlocked yesterday (October 28), the track (which was co-written by Tems) serves as the first taste of original material from the superstar (as a lead artist) since the 2016 release of her ‘ANTI’ album.

Clearly, the appetite for fresh material from Rihanna is at an all-time high. Because ‘Lift Me Up’ is bulldozing records left and right.

On US radio, the track has hit a seismic all-format audience of 26.613 million.

In doing so, it delivers the highest Stateside radio debut of the year so far. It also serves as the highest radio launch of Rihanna’s career.

[It should be noted that ‘Lift Me Up’ benefitted from a radio deal that saw it played every hour on the hour on certain formats]

Meanwhile, on the streaming scene, ‘Lift Me Up’ has hit #1 on Apple Music in 45 countries as of writing. While, on Spotify, the song debuts at #3 on the global tally with first day streams of 7.605 million.

That Rihanna reign just won’t let up! Congrats!
