Mariah Carey may rule the Hot 100 perennially with her timeless yuletide classic, ‘All I Want For Christmas is You,’ but this holiday season she’s looking to extend her reign to the New York Best Sellers list as well.

As reported here, Mimi kicked off the year by announcing her first children’s book – ‘The Christmas Princess’ – would hit shelves in fall.
Featuring illustrations by Fuuji Takashi and co-written by Michaela Angela Davis (who also helped pen Carey’s best-selling 2020 memoir ‘The Meaning Of Mariah Carey’), ‘Princess’ will be available at all major retailers on November 1.
In a statement released at the time of the initial announcement, Carey said:
“‘The Christmas Princess’ is a fairytale for holiday lovers of all ages. Little Mariah represents my inner child believing in her own vision, she represents all children, especially those who feel like outsiders or ‘others,’ striving to believe in themselves. It was empowering to transform my childhood turmoil into a modern classic fairytale full of wonder and boundless hope.”
The announcement comes just weeks after Mariah lifted the lid on a special edition ‘Butterfly’ package (which included jewelry partnerships, limited edition vinyls, and more) to commemorate the 25th anniversary of her chart-topping album of the same name.
Although we’re still weeks away from Carey’s annual Christmas takeover, ‘The Christmas Princess’ is already available for pre-order.
