Readers of That Grape Juice know how passionate we are about music – whether that be past or present.
However, unlike our other segments – Retro Rewind, TGJ Replay, and From The Vault – The Pop Stop is the most in-depth look at Pop songs that may have flown under the radar over the last week that you should know, rather they be from music’s biggest stars or those on the rise.
This week, we want to highlight cuts from Blink-182, Louis Tomlinson, Tove Lo, and Jordy.
Join us inside…
Blink-182 – Edging
Pop-punk group Blink-182 have finally joined back up with Tom DeLonge for the first time in 10 years for the song, ‘Edging.’ Opening with pounding drums, DeLonge and Mark Hoppus go on to trade verses. Much like their early work, ‘Edging’ is nothing short of pure, bombastic fun.

Tove Lo – Grapefruit
Tove Lo is grappling with something dark on her latest single, ‘Grapefruit.’ Set to the tune of pulsating synths, she tackles her past eating disorder. One of her more confessional songs, with the arrival and her latest album ‘Dirt Femme,’ Tove Lo proves she is the most promising pop music figure to come from Sweden since producer Max Martin.

Jordy – I Get High
Queer pop artist Jordy has shared his latest single. Entitled ‘I Get High,’ the tune tackles such themes as anxiety and vices while being set to a simple, acoustic guitar and a gentle backbeat. Across the moving tune, Jordy not only showcases his exquisite lyrical prowess, but also showcases his potential to be the next big queer force in music.
