Taking to press, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) announced that ‘I Drink Wine’ has now been certified Gold in the United States for the sales equivalent of 500,000 total units.
As a result of its recent certification, ‘I Drink Wine’ is now the third song from Adele’s acclaimed ’30’ album to be certified Gold or higher in the United States.
Previously, her song ‘Easy On Me’ reached 4x Platinum status and ‘Oh My God’ has secured Platinum status.
‘I Drink Wine’ was the third official single from ’30’ and was a moderate hit in the United States, where it peaked at #18 on the coveted Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Needless to say, a huge congratulations is in order.
